The Bose audio-focused augmented reality (AR) glasses get an official launch-- called "Frames," the glasses promise "the future of mobile sound in the tiniest, thinnest, most lightweight Bose system ever."
Frames glasses are available in 2 styles, squarish (Alto) or rounded (Rondo). Both are matte black, weigh 45g and look essentially like regular eyewear. However they do carry what Bose describes as a "wafer-thin acoustic package" inside each arm able to produce sound for the user (and no one else), without need for earbuds. The glasses pair with a companion Bose Connect app, while control comes through a multi-function button embedded in the right temple. Bose claims battery life clocks at around 3.5 hours, with charging taking place via included pogo-pin cable.
