Accessory maker Belkin offers a number of wireless charging products designed for use with the latest iPhones at CES 2018-- including the Boost Up Bold Wireless Charging Pad and Wireless Charging Stand.

Belkin chargersThe Boost Up Bold wireless charging pad is similar to the current Boost Up charging pad. It comes in a number of colour options, including black, white, pink and navy, and offers up to 10W output for fast charging on Qi-enabled devices.

The Boost Up wireless charging stand is also a similar device, but features a charging surface propped by a frame to allow charging in landscape or portrait mode (as opposed to flat on a surface).

Meanwhile users in need to charge multiple Qi-enabled devices have an option with the the Boost Up Dual wireless charging pad. As the name suggests, it features two Qi charging pads, each with 10W fast charging.

Wink Pairs With Sonos

Wink HubWink adds a wireless audio maker in its lineup of partner companies-- Sonos, specifically through the compatibility of Wink Hub 2 with all Sonos products.

As Wink puts it, the Hub 2 is a control panel for all connected devices. Customers simply need to connect the Sonos products to the same wifi network as the Hub 2, before pairing through the Wink app. Customer get a number of controls, such as auto-playing tracks or playlists when someone enters the house, or adding music a Wink Shortcut allowing one to dim the lights, adjust temperature and play specific music through a single tap.

The First In-Display Fingerprint Sensor for Smartphones

Synaptics announces mass production with a "top five OEM" of the Clear ID FS9500 family of optical in-display fingerprint sensors-- a vendor Forbes reveals is no other than Vivo.

Vivo fingerprint sensorThe Synaptics sensors promise "one-touch high-resolution scanning through full cover glass." They should enable button-free, bezel-free infinity displays, and since the sensor is covered by glass it operates with wet, dry and cold fingers. In addition, Synaptics claims the sensor is "twice as fast" as 3D facial recognition, and requires just one touch to operate.

On the security front, the sensors carry a range of authentication technologies, such as Quantum Matcher (for adaptive fingerprint template matching and authentication), PurePrint (anti-spoof technology) and SecureLink (combines support for TLS protocol with ECC authentication and AES encryption).
